HOW I CREATE MY WEBPAGES – BASIC METHODS AND PROGRAMS I USE
A picture is worth 1000 words, so here are some demo videos to show you how I do it.
Batch Naming of Pictures with NameWiz
Batch Resize/Resample Pictures with Jasc Image Robot
Make a Pictures Webpage with ThumbsPlus
Make a Pictures Page with a Movie in Thumbs Plus and Notepad
Create a Webpage in Notepad - Overview of basic .html Code (this is fun and easy)
Website Structure, Creating a Webpage in Word, and FTP Upload of a Completed Webpages
Download a zip file with an exact copy of this page and all the videos. When the download is complete, unzip to a folder on your hard drive (in Windows XP or higher, right click an select "Extract" or "Extract All"). Once unzipped, go to that folder, look for the file "WebpageCreationHowTo.htm" and double click. A copy of this page will open in your webbrowser and you can then view the videos on your computer at your leisure, without needing to be connected to the Internet.
In addition to Notepad, Word and Windows Explorer, which typically come on most Windows system, I use NameWiz (SoftByteLabs), Jasc Image Robot (JASC - makers of Paint Shop Pro), and ThumbsPlus (Cerious Software). Send me an email to find out where to get these programs. Note the versions I use are older (from 2001 & 2002), but are much easier to learn and use than the latest and greatest. They work fine in Windows XP, but I have not used them in Windows 7 or Windows Vista. These newer Windows operating systems may require using the latest versions, which I do not have, and which you will have to buy.
