I started doing business in real estate after graduating from the University of Connecticut School of Business in 1983 with a Bachelors Degree in Real Estate and Urban Economic Studies. I am privileged to have known, studied under and worked with some of the greatest scholars in the field of real estate including the late Byrl Boyce, the late William Kinnard, Stephen Messner, John Clapp, and C.F. Siermans.
I am currently a licensed real estate broker in Florida, Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey. I used to be a licensed real estate broker and certified general appraiser in Connecticut, and a licensed real estate broker in Rhode Island, but I stopped renewing these licenses. After I moved to Florida in 1999 I did little work in those states and the cost of licensure did not warrant continuing to do business in those states. For example, the cost of a broker’s license in Connecticut for one year alone, was greater than the cost of all my other licenses combined for two-years.
