Publishing Page

(Last Updated – April 29, 2008)

I have four publishing projects pending.  These are fun project, but due to the demands placed on me by other projects, these interests have taken a back seat.  My publishing projects are not getting the attention they need in order to become successful.   I am looking to either partner with qualified people or sell these interests.  If any of these projects are of potential interest to you or someone you know, please email me at Paul@Lagassey.com or call me at 772-231-1449.

Real Life Recipes

I started this project for my wife Elena in 2002, and invested considerable funds in setting up the website www.realliferecipes.com.  The object was to have a website where people could go to post family recipes, serving suggestions, tell a story about the family tradition behind each recipe, and upload a picture or video clip.  The plan was to publish a recipe book with the best recipes and stories once the site reached 500 recipes.  Elena quickly lost interest, and the site has been going nowhere.

The concept and opportunity behind this asset have great potential.  Check out the website with the existing recipes.  Refresh the page to see new featured recipes.  The website and infrastructure are in place.  The domain names for realliferecipes.com and extensions to a dozen or so ethnic backgrounds are secured.  I think the potential (and profit) for publishing numerous cookbooks and CD’s over the next five-to-ten-years is great, not to mention the potential advertising revenues from the website when it becomes popular.  This project is available for sale or joint venture.  If you are interested or know someone who may be, please contact me for more information.

Einstein

In 2002, I acquired a montage on Einstein entitled “Dear Albert, Wish You Were Here.”  This is an intriguing piece of artwork and a number of people have suggested that I have it published.  To view a copyrighted reproduction of the work, click here.

Children’s Books

I have acquired the rights to publish a children’s book, entitled “Krahs and His Friends” a/k/a “Krahs, The Fish Who Would Be Shark.” from the author, Giuliano Lavoratore, a graduate of the Art Institute of Milan, Italy.  To view a copyrighted reproduction of the work and manuscript, click here.

Project O

I developed the concept for “Project O” one night last summer (2007) while I was out with friends.  This happened shortly after visiting the Leonard Nemoy exhibit at Michelson Galleries in Northampton, Massachusetts.  My visit to the gallery opened my mind, and events of the evening inspired me to come up with the concept.  “Project O” is a coffee table book featuring beautiful women, fine wine, great food and upscale clothes.  What could be better?

According to my concept, the project will be funded by sponsors who will get credit for their respective salon, clothes, restaurant and wine in the book.  This is a fun project that I want to stay involved with, so I’m looking to joint-venture the project with a good marketing person (photography background also preferable).  If you’re interested please contact me (contact info above) and we can discuss the opportunity after signing a confidentiality/non-disclosure agreement.
