An affiliate of Eastern is the principal investor in Conceptual Speech, LLC, a company that has one issued patent covering Conceptual Speech Recognition (CSR) Conceptual Language Understanding Engine (CLUE) and Conceptual dictation. In 2007, the CSR patent issued and two United States continuations along with several corresponding international patent applications were filed and are pending. Conceptual Speech, LLC has another pending patent for speech enabling applications without modifying the source code. Conceptual Speech Technologies, LLC is under license to develop software to implement this technology, and has released a “killer” speech application known as SpeechVibe. Grant Portfolio (Speech Recognition)
Eastern is the owner of the Grant patent portfolio (named after the inventor), which comprises three issued speech recognition patents and five pending continuation applications.
Great Northern Research Portfolio (Speech Recognition)
Great Northern Research (a/k/a GNR), an affiliate of Eastern, has three next-generation speech recognition patents pending.
The CoolSoft portfolio is owned by an affiliate of Eastern, and consists of four pending patent applications invented in the process of developing CoolSoft, LLC software titles. The patent applications cover i) spam filtering system and method, ii) remote execution of commands sent over an open network (email) with decoupled feedback, iii) system and method for automatic sending text of spoken messages in voice over IP software, and iv) system and method for marketing over an electronic network. PanelScape, LLC, an affiliate of Eastern, has a patent applications pending for a “system and method for attaching hurricane panels to standard track such that it can be easily removed from inside the structure.” An affiliate, PanelScape Products, LLC is under license to develop the technology and is currently in the process of seeking Miami-Dade County building code approval for its prototypes. The quick release mechanisms will be marketed under the “quick-bolts” and “quick-car” trademarks.
